Nickel Spot Test
Nickel allergy is a possible cause of contact dermatitis. Nickel is one of the most common causes of allergy worldwide.
The NICKEL SPOT TEST identifies objects in your work and home environment that contain nickel. You can test any metal object (e.g. press studs, keys, hooks, zips, earrings, bracelets, rings, coins, kitchen utensils, door and drawer handles, screws, paper clips, etc.) and this will help you identify which items to avoid, change or cover in some way.
Wood, plastic, gold and stainless steels are usually safe substitutes for items that contain nickel.
The NICKEL SPOT TEST is a simple, easy-to-perform test for persons allergic to nickel. It can be used at work or at home to test for the presence of nickel in any metal, each kit can be used for approx. 50 tests.
